Alongside the new asset classes, ZNG Cover expands its self-serve, platform - based flexibility that lets members define exactly how and where each item in their collection is covered with premiums that adjust in real time to match the level of risk:

  • worldwide
  • at home
  • in storage
  • in professional storage
  • on loan

A NEW STANDARD FOR HOW COLLECTIONS ARE COVERED

Traditional insurance treats a collection as a single, static risk. At best specialist insurance takes a broad-brush and often lazy approach to worldwide cover. In practice, valuable assets rarely sit still and their risk changes: a painting may hang at home for most of the year and travel to an exhibition for a season; a fine wine collection might move between bonded storage and a private cellar; a watch might be worn daily, stored in a home safe, or kept in a safety deposit box.

ZNG Cover’s platform allows members the functionality to reflect this directly.
Through their ZNG account, members can select the specific status of each asset and see their cover and premium adjusted accordingly, without needing to call a broker or wait on paperwork.

EXTENDING THE ZNG MODEL TO A BROADER SET OF COLLECTORS

ZNG Cover has built its reputation on invite-only access through a network of trusted partners - luxury retailers, manufacturers, private banks and wealth advisors - using primary source data and market expertise to keep cover accurate and claims fast. The addition of art, antiques, sculpture, books, maps, prints, memorabilia, fine wine and spirits extends that same model to collectors whose assets have historically been underserved by both mainstream insurers and household policies.

Existing ZNG members will be able to bring these newly eligible assets into their existing collection immediately, without a new invitation, through the same self-serve platform.

“Expanding into art, antiques, fine wine and other collectible categories was a natural next step for us. It lets us serve members more completely, and extend the ZNG model - expertise, flexibility, no small print - to parts of the luxury market that haven’t had it before. Collectors don’t think about their possessions in fixed categories, and their insurance shouldn’t either. Whether it’s a watch on your wrist or a painting on loan to a gallery, cover should follow the asset and reflect the real risk at that
moment."

That’s what we’ve built.
